The electronic equipment has been designed and built in compliance with standard EN 292-2, paragraphs 5.5.1, 5.5.2 and 5.5.3.

The equipment supplies power to the electrode-holding tongs used to stun the animals before slaughter. Thanks to an extremely precise current regulation, it is possible to work with animals of different sizes (quails, pigeons, rabbits, chickens, geese, turkeys, sheep and goats) with the absolute exclusion of blood residues inside the animal and without any damage to the animal’s organs and tissues.

The control panel, equipped with convenient actuating devices and a large graphic display, allows the operator to adjust the working parameters easily and intuitively and to read the information at a glance clearly.

The USB connector built into the electronic equipment, automatically records the stunning data (date – time – Amps – Volts – Hertz – Seconds) onto the USB stick, without any need for operator intervention.

Electrical panel, resistant to water splashes and dust, is fitted with a transparent door with a sturdy handle for access to the control panel, and a quick bayonet connector for connecting the electrode-holding tongs. Housed inside are:

• The isolation transformer of 230 Volt AC;

• The electronic instrumentation for command and control.

The isolation transformer, high-potential with winding separation in accordance with European standards, guarantees the operator’s safety while working with the animals.

The electronic instrumentation is equipment with an electro-stunning function for animals, which integrates the following systems on a single board:

• digital microprocessor-based circuitry for parameter adjustment and data storage on USB;
• power circuitry for stunning the animal.

The main features are:

• Single board, for both the logic and the power sections, easily replaceable in case of maintenance or failure;
• Easy parameter setting, thanks to a convenient knob for adjusting the current to be applied to the animal and buttons for setting the date and time (in case of data saving to USB);
• Clear parameter reading, thanks to a large LCD graphic display that allows all stunning parameters to be read at a glance at the same time (set current/selected animal, stunning voltage, test duration timer);
• Continuous stunning current setting from 100mA to 1.5A in 25mA steps, with automatic display of the corresponding animal;
• Automatic and precise maintenance of the delivered stunning current, even as the animal’s electrical parameters vary, thanks to a sophisticated measurement and control system;
• Seconds-counting timer function with an alarm after 4 seconds of current delivery;
• A stunning count is included;
• Preliminary assessment of the animal’s resistance value by applying a partial low voltage to it, with the stunning blocked if the set value is not reached;
• Audible and visual signal indicating that stunning is in progress;
• Signal indicating the tongs are ready for stunning, with a flashing LED;
• Blocking signal;
• Auto-stop function with manual reset in the event of a mains voltage failure;
• The panel’s safety is based on its double insulation;
• Automatic data storage on a USB stick, allowing the stunning data to be recorded on the USB stick for subsequent transfer to a computer. If stunning is performed “empty” (no load), no data will be recorded on the USB stick.

The equipment complies with Directive 93/119/EC and Regulation 1099/2009.
